Plastic deck boxes are fine for one deck. Once you're juggling several Commander lists, tokens, and a growing sleeved collection, you need real storage — something that holds the cards, lasts, and doesn't look like a toy bin on the shelf.
Here's the simple way we size boxes in our Tennessee shop.
Size by sleeved cards (not guesswork)
Our wooden trading card boxes are sized around sleeved capacity. That matches how most Commander players store decks day to day.
- 1-row — about 750+ sleeved cards (roughly a handful of Commander decks)
- 3-row — about 1,125+ sleeved cards
- 4-row — about 1,500+ sleeved cards
- 5-row — about 1,875+ sleeved cards (our most popular for serious collectors)
A quick mental shortcut: think in sleeved card count first. Deck count is a secondary check, not the starting point.
